The setting
We sit on the river at the edge of Rajaji National Park, in the Devbhumi foothills — upstream of the crowds, where the Ganga is still wide, clean and quiet. Mornings open with mist over the water; evenings close with the light going gold and the forest settling into sound.
Far enough to feel like somewhere else, close enough to be easy: Haridwar's ghats are about twenty minutes away, and Rishikesh's rapids under an hour.
